The thing I appreciated most was that there weren’t any surprise fees. Like, I kept waiting for some random extra charge to pop up because that happens so often, but nope, everything was exactly as expected

I wanted to like this because grabbing a scooter quickly should be super convenient, but my experience was frustrating. I tried to unlock one twice and the app just kept spinning both times, yet I still got charged. Support eventually responded, but it was slow, and by then I’d already ended up walking. I can see how this would be useful when it works, but when you’re in a hurry, stuff like this is really annoying.

I noticed a wrong charge and had that instant mini-panic moment, like oh no, here we go. But I reached out to support, they handled it way faster than I expected. My refund came back without some endless battle or nightmare hassle, so I’m genuinely relieved. Thanks for making it surprisingly painless.

It did end up helping me, so I’ll give it that, but it took way longer than it should have. I felt like I wasted a bunch of energy waiting around and dealing with the delay when it could’ve been much smoother.

The ride itself was totally fine, honestly. It’s not even about that, the frustrating part was trying to park at the end. The app kept telling me I wasn’t in the right zone, even though I was literally next to other Dott scooters. It took a few tries and a few extra minutes before it finally accepted it. Not the worst experience, but it definitely makes a quick trip feel more stressful than it needs to be.

I really wanted to like this app, but it’s been frustrating. Almost every time I open it, there are either no scooters nearby, or the ones that show up on the map just aren’t actually there. I’ve walked 10 minutes out of my way twice now for no reason, which is really annoying. It’s kind of hard to see the point if I can’t reliably find a ride when I need one.

I tried using Dott for a quick ride, and to be fair, everything looked fine at first. The app showed the scooter had enough battery, so I figured it would easily get me where I needed to go.

But after just a few minutes, the battery started dropping really fast. I ended up having to stop way before my destination, which was frustrating.

It’s annoying paying for a ride and then not being able to trust that the scooter will actually last. I probably wouldn’t use it again unless they sort this out

I wanted to like the app right away, parts of it are fine. But then the map takes forever to load and I go from patient to annoyed quickly. The buttons also confuse me sometimes, like I think I know what to tap and then suddenly I’m second-guessing everything. It’s not a terrible experience, just kind of frustrating when you’re trying to get something done fast.

I gave Dott a few tries, but the speed control really got on my nerves. The scooter would randomly slow down on perfectly normal streets, then out of nowhere let me speed up again. It made the whole ride feel shaky and kind of unsafe, especially when there were cars or bikes behind me. I had to verify my account before I could even use the app, and it felt slower than it needed to be. What annoyed me more was having to deal with verification more than once, without much explanation or updates while I was waiting. Once I finally got through that, the app worked fine, so it’s not terrible. I just wish the whole setup process was smoother and didn’t make me keep proving it was me.

I do like that Dott offers subscription options, and getting started is straightforward. But when it comes to changing or canceling it, why does it have to feel less clear than it should? It’s not a bad setup overall, but if you need a bit of flexibility, it can get kind of annoying.

The ride worked fine overall, but the scooter itself looked beat up. The brakes felt a little loose, and the handlebar was sticky, which was not great. It still got me where I needed to go, but I wish the scooters were checked and cleaned more often.

I’ve used Dott a few times and overall it’s been okay, but the GPS can be off sometimes and shows me in the wrong spot. It makes parking or unlocking the scooter a bit annoying, especially when you’re just trying to get going. It’s not terrible at all, but that issue definitely needs to be fixed

I wanted to like this scooter, but it felt stiff when I rode it. After a little while, my back started to feel sore, which wasn’t a great sign. Reading between the lines, I think it might be fine for short rides or smoother surfaces, but it just wasn’t comfortable enough for me.

I reported an incident after my ride and honestly , the support was really disappointing . It took a while to hear back , and when they did respond , it didn’t feel like they actually cared or did much to help . I pretty much felt ignored the whole time

I’ve used these scooters a few times for short rides and they’ve mostly been fine. I mainly remember them being easy to grab and get around on, though I somehow always forget how the pricing works until I see the final charge. Not bad overall, just a little confusing sometimes.

My account got suspended out of nowhere, and the reason they gave was really vague. I reached out to support asking what rule I supposedly broke, but all I got back were generic copy-paste responses that didn’t actually explain anything.

A friend had recommended ridedott to me, so I was disappointed by how this was handled. If they can just block your account without giving a proper reason, it’s hard to trust using it again, especially when you’re relying on it to get around...
